2026-27

Cindy, from the Dr. Seuss litter finished her championship fast, staring a hole through the judge demanding a win .... just like her grandmother, Miss Dior (CH Pickwick's Child, That Hemline's Out of Sight, TKN), and great grandmother, KK (CH Peachtree's Kirkcudbright Kayleigh, TKN, CGC, RN, RI), and charmed them with her personality like her mother, Lilibeth (CH Pickwick's Show the World How to Smile). Once she turns 2 years old later May, 2026, we will complete her health testing and if the results are to our standard we will breed Cindy. We have several routes we are considering.

Breeding Considerations
Echoes of Strength - This potential pairing represents an opportunity to thoughtfully reach back into a line that has already proven itself over time. Cindy brings forward the qualities we value most in our program—type, soundness, and a joyful, steady temperament. She is a happy, affectionate girl with a natural ease about her, and we look to complement her strengths with a pedigree known for lasting health and resilience. We have made an inquiry into the availability of frozen semen from an amazing pug of the recent past and, if possible, this would be a meaningful addition to our breeding plans. In considering this pug, we are looking beyond pedigree alone and placing emphasis on longevity as part of the whole picture. While modern health testing offers important guidance, it does not fully predict lifespan or long-term vitality. This boy was known not only for his type, incredible temperament and funny personality, (his handler said he had "so much personality and form"), but also for his healthy life and excellent breathing—qualities that align closely with our priorities. His longevity reflects a deeper kind of strength: soundness, durability, and overall well-being revealed over time. As breeders, we aim to balance the insights of health testing with the lived proof of dogs who have stood the test of time. Incorporating this incredible pug, even generations later, offers the possibility of carrying forward not only structure and pedigree, but the enduring gift of health. At this stage, this remains an exploration—but one we approach with great respect and hope. |
