Heather was Amy's pick of the litter and she did a phenomenal job at her first show in a 3-6 month AKC Puppy Match in Mobile. Heather has the MOST amazing temperament and is so kind and loving. And she's gorgeous. However, we decided to place her in a companion home because, well, Jeff says we can't keep them all! lol

Nessie (new name Gabby) now lives in Florida with an amazing former pug breeder and trainer -- Gabby has learned so much jus tin her first year of life from tricks, to scentwork, fastcat, and agility. She's a lucky pug to have found such an awesome performance home!

BLOG:
Born on May 27, 2022 via C-Section, Annie had 4 beautiful puppies! 3 girls and 1 boy:
Fraser (boy, yellow ID marking) - Pickwick’s What the West Wind Saw
Heather (girl, purple ID marking) – Pickwick’s Where the Bonnie Breezes Blow
Nessie – (girl, natural, no ID marking) - Pickwick’s Legend of the Lochs
Iona – (girl, white and orange ID markings) - Pickwick’s Where Heaven Kisses Earth
Here they are just hours after entering this world and taking their first breaths!

Annie is enjoying the dark malt beer. This helps to produce milk but she also agrees that it's quite yummy (just a couple of teaspoons) over baked chicken, ricotta cheese, and egg noodles. The latter has tons of calcium but we are also giving Annie Oral Cal plus supplement (to that she says, yuck), goat's milk, and other good things like Primal.
Day 3 - ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) protocols begin
Day 4 shots - the puppies are growing and gaining weight each day. As a first time mom, Annie is amazing! It's so fun to watch her just staring at them, trying to figure out what they are and what she should do with them lol.
Day 14
Future agility star?
The puppies have moved into the weaning pen (for the daytime) and they are starting to show their personality more. Omg I LOVE these pups and this is the cutest age. Mama Annie thinks their teeth which are starting to almost bud are "not so cute", though. She will tolerate the nursing still but we are giving her (Annie) some special lamb chops and things as a treat. Also, we are just trying to start the puppies on some raw goat's milk .... they are not *quite* ready to lap it up but they did enjoy licking it off our fingers! In no time at all they'll be starting to try gruel, once their teeth have come in more fully and then the fun training will begin!
Puppy Party!!
Practicing Stacking for the Photo Shoot (we have a long way to go .... including the, ahem, photographer who needs to get the camera at the right height! ... BUT, they sure had fun practicing and enjoying the cream cheese/liverwurst treats!)
The puppies enjoy their daily outings .... 2 of their favorites are Field and Stream and Michaels. They always meet so many friendly people, too.
Nessie graduates - Her new name is Gabby and she is now living with an amazing owner in Florida who also loves to participate with her pugs in agility, scent work, tricks, and other fun activities. Godspeed Gabby!
