Jeremy ("Pickwick's I Think I Should Like Some Lunch" AKC # TS61328001)
This beautiful boy lives now in Florida with a wonderful couple and longtime pug owners. His sisters Tiggy and Beatrix, and Amy actually got to meetup with Louie and his mom and day in March, a few weeks after "gotcha day" when we were at a nearby dog show in Florida! He is living a grand life!

Beatrix ("Pickwick's Behave Yourself & Never Mind the Rest" AKC # TS61328002
Beatrix now lives with an amazing mama in Pennsylvania and a 14 year old male pug named Tug. Yes, Tug the Pug! Before she headed off to her forever home, she participated in several AKC 4-6 month Puppy Class shows winning Best of Breed 4 times, 1st place in the Toy Group twice, and landing a 2nd and 3rd place in the Toy Group as well. She truly is a beauty inside and out and we are thankful for her blessing us and sharing her love with US during her first 5.5 months of life.
Gotcha Day 4-11-24:

Ginger ("Pickwick's Sponge-Cake & Butter-Buns" AKC # TS61328003)
This sweet & incredibly loving girl now lives in Georgia with a wonderful family of 4 humans (2 young ones) and she is filling some large shoes as they lost their longtime senior pug just shortly before she joined them. We know she is up to the challenge as she is so sweet, smart, and loving.
|
Tiggy ("Pickwick's Obliged to Leave the Pudding" AKC # TS61328004)
Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle now lives in Missouri with Dr. Lynne Keyes, a retired veterinarian, pug owner since age 6, former pug breeder and past board member national club Pug Dog Club of America. Lynne is hoping to do obedience with Tiggy and we know it will be a match made in heaven.
Tiggy won Best of Breed at her first show (BPUP) at 4 months in Arcadia, Florida. She had a TON of fun, even if it wasn't the most polished performance lol. The very kind and patient judge allowed her 3 tries on her "down and back".

Here is Beatrix rocking the show ring, winning Best of Breed and Toy Group 1st place! One of the judges said "she's rocking the ring ... she's a tiger!"
Jeremy (Pickwick's I Think I Should Like Some Lunch) = Gotcha day 1-15-24, now lives in Florida with a wonderful couple.

We are so excited about this litter. This will be Stella's 2nd and most likely last litter. The sire of her first litter (Christmas Star Litter) was Porthos, CH Dixie's De Treville Porthos, and the sire of this litter is our Parker, CH Wright's Triumphant Tiger Eye at Pickwick. Stella actually free whelped her large 1st litter and was an incredible mother.
Our progesterone testing and breedings were successful. Just last night we listened with our fetal heart doppler for heart beats and heard some delightfully healthy heart beats at around 200. Stella is doing well, though she is at the point now where she needs smaller meals throughout the day. We will be scheduling the x-ray/radiograph to count spines and puppies very soon.
Stella's progesterone on Saturday was 2.65, so she is getting close! We also did an x-ray that showed 5 pups for certain. The concern might be the spot in the pink circle which our mentor in Iowa noticed.

All week she has been a bit restless. On Sunday, October 15, we actually thought she was trying to go into labor. We went to our vet first thing Monday morning. Guess what? It was gas. ha.
Throughout the week it seemed she was always quite restless from around 11 PM - 4 or 5 AM. So, Amy didn't get much sleep, always sleeping with one ear open.
Monday, October 23 was different, though. We had a tentative c-section scheduled for 9:30 AM. Around 8:30 AM we finally made the decision to try to free whelp. Around 2:40 PM, the fun indeed began. (With Stella, it's not very dramatic so she can have a puppy and you don't even know if if you're not looking carefully.) That was the case! She delivered 5 pups all within about an hour of each other, and all exactly the SAME WEIGHT! Such a consistent litter. She had colostrum to provide them, and they each latched on, so we are truly blessed and grateful. We are still wondering about whatever was in the pink circle of the xray, so more to come. But, for now, Stella is resting comfortably, Jeff will be able to get rest before his all-day work retreat tomorrow, and everyone is alive and thriving Praise God!

Eating gruel!
Puppies had visitors for Thanksgiving!
Puppy Party was a grand success! The puppies all enjoyed meeting the guests (and the delicious treats of baked chicken, steak, cheese, and PawTree treats!) They got to meet several "strangers" who were adults as well as a 3 year old, 6 year old and 9 year old! Here are some photos and videos from the fun event.
