Pickwick's Thrill on Blueberry Hill ("Lilly")
From our Thrill on Blueberry Hill Litter, born July 13, 2018, Lilly is the pick of the litter (with a 3-way tie, actually, with her 2 sisters. lol). Her sire, Grand Champion Mianda's Prince Charming at Vanity, lives in St. Louis with his owner/handler, Jennifer Hessell of Vanity Pugs, so this litter required 2 lengthy trips to St. Louis, MO, but it was worth the effort since it is truly difficult to find a single fault with our sweet Lilly. She was always the smallest in the litter. In the early days of her life she would not nurse as vigorously as we wanted, so we named her a good German name, "Lilly Anheuser Bush", after the wife of the famous beer maker Adolphus Bush, who moved to St. Louis from Germany. It worked, because as soon as we named her after the Bush beer giants, she started nursing vigorously! Lilly has had amazing pigment since early on. With a tremendous temperament and brains for days, we are truly blessed, thankful, and thrilled beyond measure to watch her grow and thrive in this world. We do feel God' hand is behind this magnificent litter. We were able to visit with our sister in St. Louis during our stay there. Each evening at dinner, prayers were lifted up for a successful breeding. These prayers were answered and we are so truly grateful.
Lilly Wins Best of Breed, Best of Winners, Winners Bitch, Best of Breed Owner Handler, and Group 3 in Atlanta under judge Randy Garren:
Lilly is "contestant #3" in this video of when she was 9 weeks old. (at 4:09)
In the temperament tests at 6 weeks, Lilly was the one the evaluator chose as the best for obedience, so we are excited to be doing dual training with Lilly with conformation, rally, and, of course tricks! Here she is at 14 weeks learning "touch" so that she can become the newest member of our "Painting Pugs"!
Lilly had fun at her 1st Rally Obedience Party! Rocking her "sit stay"!
