Pickwick Pugs is proud to be a member of the Pug Dog Club of America.
The Pug Dog Club of America is the American Kennel Club’s parent club for the Pug breed. No other club is authorized to represent the Pug with the AKC. Members of PDCA and local Chapter Clubs are active as caretakers, protectors and lovers of the breed, committed to a high standard of owning, caring for and/or breeding Pugs.
Pug Dog Club of America's Mission Statement:
"The Pug Dog Club of America, Inc. as an organization of canine enthusiasts, supports the responsible humane treatment of all canines and public education pertaining to selective ethical breeding. We encourage the human canine bond by competing with our dogs in conformation and performance events, supporting therapy and assistance programs, and promoting dogs as loyal family companions. We advocate humane genetic research and voluntary spay and neuter for non-breeding animals. Through our guardianship, it is our goal to help canines live longer, healthier and happier lives while opposing agendas of radical factions that fail to promote the welfare of canines and seek to ban breeding of all domesticated animals."
