day 8

Wahoo!! At last night's weigh-in all 3 of the puppies had doubled their weight from birth weight. This is a goal that folks strive to meet by Day 10, so they made it a few days early which is a huge hurdle to have tackled. Less and less is the milky-nose as big of an issue. Lilly is still being great with helping to clean them (the puppies can't eliminate on their own in the beginning and need stimulation etc.) and, even though she is tired, she still is willing to let me put her in the bassinet every couple of hours. (Sometimes mama pugs will hide under beds and things and not want to be as cooperative lolz!) Pink girl is more vocal so that's one reason we named her Lady G. She can belt out those melodies! Holly Go Lightly has a lighter coat and that's a perfect name for her, too. (Kennel, temporary name, because future forever owners may want to rename them.) Green boy, however, is just not "fitting" his Marky Mark name (Marquis Mark). When Jeff called him Mr. Green Jeans this morning I laughed but, you know it's a pretty awesome name. We also joked about "Ted" because of the Ted the talking bear and the Mark Whalberg movies. So, he's still a work in process. When their eyes open in a few more days we'll begin to see more and more of their personalities emerge.
