Sebastian, one of our senior pugs, LOVES going to work with his mama. He is a former rally obedience rock star, who recently had to have a leg amputated due to cancer but he is still getting around and still able to give kisses and lots of love (and teach piano)! A major heart dog, Sebastian, BGR, CGC, RN, RA, TKN, TKI is very special.

Parker was a big winner in the Memphis Kennel Club show last weekend. This was his first official show and he won a 5 point major out of 6-9 puppy class with Winners Dog AND Best of Winners! Not to be out done, Lilibeth (Champion Pickwick's Show the World How to Smile) won Best of Breed Owner Handler and Best of Opposite Sex (thank you AKC judge, Eva Berg) and then went onto win 2nd place in the Toy Group (thank you judge Diane Price) at her first outing as a special in the Best of Breed ring ..... beating out some really nice pugs and even major specials. We had planned to move onto Rally but perhaps a Grand Championship is in order before this since she makes winning seem so easy. Both Parker and Lilibeth enjoyed taking selfies with Elvis. Lilibeth Parker They enjoyed lots of naps and relaxation time in their trolley and the weather was glorious so we had some wonderful walks too. My husband and I attended a Voces 8 concert last Thursday evening and the singer announced at one point that the audience could applaud after the next song ... but (typical brit) his actual words were, "that would be the perfect time for a bum wiggle". That made me think of our amazing Parker puppy who will be entering his first "official show" this coming weekend. We have been training and trying to learn to stand STILL on the table, but he's just so happy that he has to wiggle wiggle wiggle that tail. It should be interesting how he does, but at least we know he'll be happy! Since he'll be in the puppy class we will just go with the flow and have fun. He's so beautiful, with a soft mink like clear coat, double curl, tons of bone, good angulation, dead level topline, neck, gorgeous face. Hello ..... even if he wiggles so much he propels himself into the air I can't imagine everyone loving him as much as we do. Once we receive verification from AKC, we will be adding a "CH" in front of Lilibeth's name --- Pickwick's Show the World How to Smile. She did such a fabulous job at the huge Cherokee Rose Cluster dog show in Atlanta, GA last Thur-Sat. Her human mama, Amy, showed her Thursday and then the fabulous handler Harry Bennett showed her Fri-Sat since Amy had a work conflict back home. Her brother, Luke, (Pickwick's Casanova in Disguise) also did well, winning Winners Dog! This was the first time Lilibeth did a "stay away" but she had a blast thanks to Harry's amazing care. She did wake him up at 2:30 AM (ahem) having to use the restroom. He thinks she was just so excited with all the show happenings and new adventures she was probably holding it in. He bought her some baked chicken breast, too, since she didn't want to eat the food I had left for her. (insert eye roll lol). Harry is a handler who honestly cares about the dog's spirit ... so that the dog is beautiful from the inside out, not just outside. We have observed him handle for many years now (8?), sometimes when he doesn't even know we're watching, and he ALWAYS has a gentle hand and kind, calm spirit with every dog he shows. Here are a few shots of our beautiful Lilibeth from Atlanta. Not only did she win Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Conyers show, but she also won Winners Bitch at the Greater Atlanta Pug Club Specialty. (It's a huge honor to win at a pug specialty, particularly these large ones). And here are some other shots of our beautiful Lilibeth (this was last November, 2021, when she got to visit with her brother Myles when he came down to TN with his parents from Long Island to visit). Lilibeth is on the left in each photo. And a few more shots of Lilibeth . . . We'll be moving onto Rally Obedience next and finishing her tricks titles and CGC. Lilibeth truly does live up to her name "Show the World How to Smile" and just about every judge would smile at her after the 'Down and back" when Lilibeth would look up and stare a hole through them! Just like her mama, Miss Dior. Here's Lilibeth's page to keep up with her life adventures past and future.....
